Can you help settle this argument???

My eight month old son has ALOT of hair on the top of his scalp, looks like a mohawk! So sometimes after his bath when I'm putting lotion on his scalp, I stand the hair up,like a real mohawk. My husband says that me doing that will force his hair folicals to grow in that direction, aand he will have a permanet mohawk. I highly doubt this to be true, but for arguments sake, what do you think??
