Should I work or not?

I am a rising sopre in college, and have a sweet summer job that pays me pretty well. Currently I work 5 days a week, and my schedule doesn't allow me to stay out late on the weekdays. I feel as if I am losing quality time with my boys, and am considering switching to 4 days a week. The problem is, this would cost me close to $1000. I feel like staying on my grind and saving up is the smart move, but I don't want to regret not seeing my friends when I can. Then again, having extra cake is always a good thing, especially when I will be living in a frat house next year and will need the dough. What do you think?
