My two year old granddaughter gets little blisters on the cheeks of her bottom?

but then the blisters go and a dark red mark is left behind. These look like birthmarks and are completely flat and smooth. They don't hurt or itch. Three doctors and the practice nurse have never seen anything like it before. Has anyone else?
