Do universitys do occupational health screenings on students when emotional issues arise?

just wondering as im suffering from depression, it came on and i am going to see confidential counsellor however cos i get upset in cl over stuff in my head, my friends say i could be drawn up to have a occupational health screening, to see whether i am suitable to stay on the course. If they throw me off, surely they are breaking disability discrimination act. theres nothing on the guidelines of my course about occ health screenings needed, nor on the uni website.
