In the sims2 on the ds how do you get Optimum Alfred to leave the room so you can get the blue prints?

Every time i go in there he says: What are you doing im my room? Don't you know how strict Strangetown's lanlord laws are? Take THIS!! He keep putting me in the mangers suite. Im getting confused. Please help if you know =D
