Storing beer at room temp?

My local liquor store is going out of business and is selling everything off super cheap (12pk $5), I was wondering if I could buy some and just put it in my pantry until it's time to drink? I don't have a lot of room in my fridge so I wouldn't be able to put it there. Any help would be great!
