Sewn in weave, janets collection deep ripple wave?

so i got a sewn in about 2 weeks ago, its deep ripple wave from janets collection. its a wet and wavy weave. how do i maintain it? what products do you suggest? how should i take care of my real hair (all of my hair is braided), how long can i keep it in? (im thinking of trying to until november, thats about 4 months), and its shedding abit as well, is that normal?
