What Navy specialty would be right for me?

I am considering applying for cos (commissioned officer school) for the navy after college. I have a math deficiency and can't do algebra or anything involving letters in math. However i am very good at remembering facts and improvising when i come across a unique situation. I was thinking either gunnery or navigation but i am open to any suggestions. I have always been interested in fleet formation,fleet maneuvering and battle strategy. Based on my skills what would be the best naval officer position for me?

Feeding in Church?

I have no problem with women feeding in public, especially when they use a blanket and everything. but I found it quite shocking that a woman was sitting in the front row in front of us at church just started feeding her son (with a blanket over the baby). My eight month old son has ALOT of hair on the top of his scalp, looks like a mohawk! So sometimes after his bath when I'm putting lotion on his scalp, I stand the hair up,like a real mohawk. I was at a frat party last night, where I have gone before. I am in college, and I have a drinking problem (of this I am aware and trying to get help). I drank enough to be drunk but not enough to p out...I let someone fill up my beer cup and became extremely "drunk". I am not sure if my cup was drugged but I have never felt that way before. I start to feel extremely drunk and am unable to stand. The boy filling my cup all night takes me to his house uring me I can have a place to sleep. I begin throwing up and p out in the bathroom. The boy comes in and practically carries me to a his bedroom. After that I can't remember anything but the next morning I wake up naked and know that there was ual .I cannot remember giving consent or even having , but there is no question with the way I feel and the things his friends said to me today. Is this ? I in no way want to press charges or anything but I just need to know what that is considered. I am embared and ashamed and I just need to know what that is considered. Thanks.

Should I work or not?

I am a rising sopre in college, and have a sweet summer job that pays me pretty well. Currently I work 5 days a week, and my schedule doesn't allow me to stay out late on the weekdays. I feel as if I am losing quality time with my boys, and am considering switching to 4 days a week. The problem is, this would cost me close to $1000. I feel like staying on my grind and saving up is the smart move, but I don't want to regret not seeing my friends when I can. Then again, having extra cake is always a good thing, especially when I will be living in a frat house next year and will need the dough. What do you think?

I live in Maryland. My current GPA is 2.81 ( non weighted) and 3.38 (weighted) as of end of my junior year. I took 2 AP cles in 10th grade and took 3 APs in 11th grade. All my other cles were Honors courses. My senior year i will take 4 AP's. I'm Hispanic, born and raised in Paraguay. I am currently in AP Spanish Literature and Spanish was NOT my first language, it was Guarani (indigenous language in Paraguay). I play Soccer in high school. Junior Varsity in 9th grade and Varsity in 10th and 11th and next year as well. Also, Indoor and Outdoor track for 10th and 11th grade. How can i fix my overbite?

Right now, I have metal braces and molar buildups. I've had both for about two years. On my bottom row, I have an open space that needs to be filled with a fake tooth when I'm 18. Everything is repaired except for my severe overbite - its about 80% or 90%. My orthodontist wants to use the braces and rubber bands and says it could be repaired by the end of the summer. I was driving around 8 pm along highway 710 North in the middle lane in the Long Beach area heading toward Bell Gardens, when suddenly I heard a loud sound and and felt an impact on the driver's side of my car. When I turned to my left I saw that a yellow semi truck was hitting my car and pushing me toward the right. It pushed me across two lanes. I realized that I was losing control of my car and I ended up partially obstructing the right-hand lane of the freeway, and I was able to move my car a little so that I was completely in the emergency lane. I looked up and saw that the yellow semi that had hit me was driving away toward the ramp to highway 91, but then it began to back up. I got out and felt like I couldn't speak and like I was going to throw up. Mr. Manuel de Jesus Huezo (the truck driver) said that he had been driving straight and he didn't realize that he had hit me. He asked me not to call the police or the insurance company because he had outstanding tickets and it would damage his driving record. I said no and called my husband and 911. 10 minutes later my husband and the very polite Officer D. Ritter arrived, and the officer made sure we didn't have any serious injuries; he also made sure I got all necessary information from the other driver. The officer told me that when there aren't any serious injuries and neither driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, it's not necessary to make an official report of the accident and that we should just call our own respective insurance companies. Since this was not the case, we decided not to make an official report. The officer asked my husband to leave the scene because it was dangerous, so my husband went to the corner of Artesia and Atlantic to wait at the McDonald's. Officer Ritter very kindly called a tow truck for my car so that it could be towed to my home and gave me a ride to where my husband was waiting.

To become an army special operator is it neccesary to go into one of the Ranger Regiments.?

My ultimate goal is to become a Special Operator of some kind in the Army. I am wanting to enlist in the Army with an 11x option 4 Airborne contract. I don't think that i will be prepared mentally after Infantry OSUT to go through Ranger training. I want to spend a couple of years in an Infantry unit, get my confidence up and then go to some more schools like Air ault and Ranger School. My question is if it is neccasary to get into a Ranger Regiment, or can I apply for Special Forces (aka. Green Berets) after being in lets say the 82nd Airborne or the 101st Air ault.

Which Camera Lens it Better?

Any of those lenses will work okay, but if you're planning on doing any indoor sports or sports that take place in the evening you will be out of luck. I shot a football game last night, using a Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6, and was had to stop shooting before 8 o clock because the lens couldn't pick up enough light for a fast enough shutter speed. For sports you'll need a faster lens, one that has an f/stop of at most f/2.8, preferably lower. I would suggest the Nikkor 80-200mm, but you're shooting Canon, so what I would suggest is go to Amazon, and search "200mm f/2." That search will give you a long enough lens with a low enough aperture setting.

What drugstore mascara should I buy?

Out of all the mascaras I've tried, I love the Covergirl Lashblash & lashexact. They both lengthen really good. I think Lashexact gives more length and holds a curl better than lashblast but lashblast has more volume. Glam Eyes is alright, doesn't separate as well as Covergirls. Those are my recommendations but just to put it out there, if you put any mascara on your bottom lashes, l'oreal telescopic is great for that.

I work in a pacemaker clinic / cardio-diagnostic department and we do 24 hour holter monitors and the 30 day cardiac event monitors. Our cardiologists will order the monitors based on how frequent and what kind of symptoms the patient is having. Also they do an EKG in the office to determine any presenting arrhythmia (irregular heart rhythm). The holter monitors work well for finding arrhythhmia if you are actively having the symptoms or irregular heart beat during that 24 hour period. Some times we have patients that don't have any arrhytmia during a 24 hour holter monitor recording and then the doctor orders the longer event monitor. As far as the event monitors they can be used for patients that have intermittent symptoms where the patient presses a on on the monitor when they feel symptoms (i.e. a flutter,flip-flop,dizziness,and sinking feeling to name a few) It captures a ekg strip and then they call in over a phone to "download" it. The event monitors ususally hold 5 recordings and when the monitor is full you call in and download it. I had one patient that called in over 300 recordings in 30 days. The doctor can get several strips or readings of your heart rhythm and verify if you are just having a normal palpitation (premature beat) or something more serious. The newer event monitors can even make automatic recordings by being triggered by an irregular heart beat or a pre-set low heart rate or high heart rate. Hope this helps and my preference would be for the event monitor just to put my 2 cents in. And just for the legal department out there, "I am not a doctor. Pregnant and family thinks I can't be alone!! Please read!?

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant. I have a 2 year old little girl. At 18 weeks I was put on bedrest for a short cervix. I was on bedrest and went into preterm labor at 29 weeks. (I delivered my 2 year old at 29 weeks.) They got the labor stopped and I spent a month in the hospital just to be safe and get farther along. Anyhow...I am no longer on bedrest and everything is going great. The doctor said I can resume my normal life as I can tolerate it. I have only been at my house about 2 weeks since January because we have been staying with my grandparents while my husband is working. Anyhow...now I just want to go home. I have a house that has basically been shut up for months and needs aired out and cleaned up for the baby. I want to set up the nursery and just get the house ready for the baby. I would not push myself to the point to where I would hurt me or the baby, but I just want to go home. My grandparents don't do anything or go anywhere, and I can't stand to just sit around while someone else takes care of my daughter. My grandma is kinda overbearing and always telling me what to do for my daughter and what my daughter needs, and I don't want to say anything to her, but I am still her mommy. I don't need someone to tell me to put her clothes on her or don't let her have a cookie blah blah blah. My dr says I am just like any other pregnant woman now at 35 weeks and if I did go into labor I live only 10 minutes from the hospital. And I keep thinking...there are women who are alone when they go into labor all the time and they make it just fine. How do I (or should I) convince my family that I can be alone at home and not hurt their feelings? I am very independent and went from a full time job and a 2 year old to ... nothing..sitting around all day while people tell me what to do...Please help?

Adderall 10 mg (2 pills...twice a day)?

I was just diagnosed with ADHD and my doctor prescribed me Adderall 10mg. I am supposed to take 2 pills in the morning and 2 around lunchtime. I am 26 years old and I work at an accounting firm. I find the pills to be having some effect but it's not as drastic as I had anticipated. My mind still wanders a decent amount but I don't know if that is due to the fact that I'm stuck behind a computer crunching numbers all day. I'm not sure if my mind wandering has more to do with my job or the Adderall being ineffective. I have noticed that I don't play with my hair or tap my foot as often anymore. I used to have a tough time sitting still. Is it possible that my dosage is too low? Should I look into the Adderall XR? What do you guys think?

My friend was over at my house earlier when my dad called and said he was at Whole Foods and wanted to know if there was anything I needed. I asked if he could get some tampons for me and told him which kind I used. I also asked for Whole Food's version of Midol, and he had no problem picking that up for me too. I moved in with my dad at 14 and am now 17, so for the past few years he's been the one to buy things like that for me, and neither of us have been awkward or self-conscious about it. Recovering lost video on computer?

While trying to save my edited video using AVI video, my computer stopped saving and said that there was an error. After hitting debug the program closed out and I lost the video I had worked so long on. So to try and retrieve the video, I've installed Recover My Files. It found my lost doent but when I try to save it, it asks for a username and license key. I'm only using the free trial so I was never given that information. Does anyone happen to have them or can tell me how I can get them? What are some other free softwares I could download to recover my video besides Recuva or Recover My Files?

Cancer spread to bone from ?

My aunt was recently diagnosed with bone cancer, and I was wondering if anyone here had experience with it. I'm upset because a little over a year ago, my aunt had a tumor discovered in her , and her husband coaxed her out of having it operated on (at the point where the tumor was discovered, it could have been removed, with the current situation avoided entirely). He recently told her that she shouldn't bother about the bone cancer either because she was "going to die anyway." He's a bonehead who has a habit of doing such remarkably obnoxious things, and I'm making it a point to punch his lights out the next time I see him. Anyway, the cancerous tissue migrated to my aunt's bones (i'm guessing ribs, but I don't know too many details because my parents are withholding information, as usual), and now she's quite ill. Elizabeth Edwards was in the same spot a while back, and I know she's not doing too well either, since bone cancer is incurable from what I've read.

In elementary school, i was diagnosed with hearing loss, and needed hearing aides. I went to a vocational high school instead of the local one hoping to rid myself of these people and start anew, a few people came with me to the new school, but only those who chose to ignore me. however by this time i was so used to never having anyone to talk to, i actually had no idea how to make friends. so in four years of high school, i was never able to connect with anyone, not even the ones i spent my 4 years in shop with. because of my silence, everyone umed i just hated them, and so those whom i had contact with also mocked me, and soon as people formed their groups of friends i was again, left alone. i managed by the end of my senior year to have two friends, who enjoy my company so long as i dont overdo it (i can sense they get annoyed if i try to talk to them when they talk to their more "popular " friends) I guess what i am asking is, if this is simply the need for teens to have someone they can make fun of when they want some extra attention, or if it sounds like i need to change. i am still extremely quiet, and i can only really talk about things relating to my own interests, because i have been so socially outward i dont know how to have a conversation about random things, or even make people laugh. anything you may have to help me would be appreciated. and thank you for reading this long question!

It has become such an issue that some teachers believe they have the right to punish a child for a different belief system then they have. For both my kids they wanted forms filled out and treatment plans form the Ophthalmologists. The path can get very busy with joggers and rollerbladers in addition to people with different levels of biking experience. My concern is I have a family history of heart problems having an uncle that died from a heart attack about my age, I am 38, and a granddad who died of a heart attack too, as a blood clot traveld to his heart and he died straight away. Why is snuggling or nursing an older baby or toddler to sleep considered a hle and a problem?

It depends on how tired she is. She's always been nursed to sleep (she turned 1 this week), normally it takes 10-30 minutes, but in the last few days it's been longer, more like an hour, I guess it's because she just mastered walking and added so many new words to her own language, sleeping must be really boring for her now:) The only time I saw it as a "problem" was on Tuesday, and that's because my ear infection has returned for the third time in 2 months, I had a very busy and tiring day at work and I generally felt crap. After almost an hour and half of trying to get her to sleep I was close to tears. But normally I enjoy every minute I can spend with her, be it play-time or nursing to sleep, probably because I work full time and don't see her as much as I would want to. How to deal with a major skin irritation?

About a month and a half ago I sprained my ankle quite badly. Being a figure skater, its rather difficult to try and stay off the ice, and I have skated on a sprained ankle several times before so my physiotherapist taped my ankle for me before I went to practise,which is great for support and has usually given me no problems. A few years ago I had my ankle taped with a latex-type tape though and I had a major allergic reaction to it causing it to be red and bumpy for a few weeks, however this went away. I told the therapist this and she avoided that tape, but after the third taping I took the tape off and had a reaction to what seemed to be the styrofoam patches she put on the top of my ankle and at the back of my Achilles tendon. This reaction was terrible. It was so uncomfortable for weeks, at first I used an over the counter hydryocortisone cream, but that didn't work so I had to go to a medical doctor to get a rx for betamethasone valerate cream and a super strong type reactin medicine. Eventually a few weeks later this went away. Now last week I tried getting my ankle taped again with just pro-wrap tape and the white sports tape over top and my skin was fine. BUT, 2 days after taking the tape off my skin has reacted AGAIN! This time its back in full force. It is so itchy its almost painful and it seems like the cream is giving no relief. I am taking Benadryl, but that seems to be doing nothing either. Why does this keep happening?!?! It seems bizarre that the irritation would occur 2 days after taking off a tape that I know gives me no trouble. Any advice?? Im desperate

Sounds like you have a great setup! You have done a great job of getting everything ready for your new pet! Make sure they have enough climbing structures. Two females (or male and female) would be fine together in that amount of space. Crested Geckos are the best first time reptile and I recommend them for everyone. One last thing you should remember is these buggers do a great job of escaping. Especially when they are tiny. So make sure to always keep their terrarium secure.

How do you deal with neighbors that never mind their own business?

Ever since we moved here the neighbors seem nosey .They sent us letters asking us if we ever walk our dogs because they are in a kennel and we had only been here for three months and since then we had a privacy fence put up so we can let them run the yard. I never seen them walk their dogs since we been here .The neighbor guy is always on his porch watching me as I pull up and I caught him in our yard a few times.He has an old lady and three kids that never leave the yard or house and It seems that they always have too much time on their hands.

Questions about Joining the CIA after Army career?

I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in June with a Double Major in Chemistry and English. I'm now looking into, even though I've been pondering the idea for a while now, into enlisting into the Army. But I have no interest in being an officer. I want to go into the 18x program to become a Special Forces Medic. Which I'm scheduled to sit down with a recruiter on Friday to talk about my choices. From the conversation we had on the phone, I can see not only is the Army looking like a good choice because of the job, but also for the money. Since I have a Degree apparently I get some pat bonus. And since I also am fluent in foreign languages I get pay for that as well. Native English and Russian. I was born here but my parents are from Belarus, at the time which was the USSR. I'm also fluent in German, French, Swedish, Spanish, and I speak a good amount of Czech. But, I would like to pursue a career after my time in the Army in the CIA as a Paramilitary Operations Officer. Now I understand I have a long time to wait, but I'm just looking forward at the moment as well. So I was looking at the requirements on the CIA's Website. Except for the military, it seems like a fit all the requirements with education. But it says one of the requirements is "combat leadership experience." Now from what that says it seems as if there saying officership. I wonder if being an NCO can p as leadership. So please help me out if you can. So the other day I had some friends over one night and we were cooking smores on the back deck. Our dogs were outside and playing in the yard. They really like to go down the slide from the small playground we have. Anyways, we were all cooking outside and I dropped a bag of marshmellows. I managed to get most of them but one our dogs managed to scoop one up and ran off. (Big marshmellows, not those mini ones) I figured one wouldn't hurt to much, as I made sure to tie the bag up and put it away. I'm just glad it wasn't chocolate. Well, I guess he really enjoyed it, because one day I was getting ready for work and he was watching me. I guess im rather clumbsy and knocked over a small jug that we keep in the bathroom that contains cotton . Well this time he ended up scooping a couple up and ran for the hills. This time I gave chase but by the time I got to him he already devoured them. What can I do to help my sick dog?

He is a 11 year old chihuahua and is usually very healthy. He hasn't thrown up or anything, but he keeps climbing on the T.V. stand and crawling under the beds and is just acting sick. He won't eat either. We changed his food, but that was was a couple of weeks ago and we changed him to a better quality of food(we went from kibble and bits during the day and Cesar's at night to Blue Buffalo) and it hasn't affected him until now. He sometimes gets into bird droppings and once got a virus(or bacteria, I don't really know which) that nearly killed him and I'm concerned it might have happened again. But he also gets sick when he gets table scraps, but not this bad .Should we take him to a vet or see if he gets better? Is there anything we could do to make him feel better with out taking him to the vet?

Can't download files from gigeshare?

I clicked on a link that takes me to gigeshare.com.....and there you will have to wait how many seconds for the download page to show up. After the seconds have ped it takes me to a page that displays the filename, size of the file, date uploaded, downloads, last acessed and and arrow image which you have to click to download the file. But when I click on it the download never get started and the message "The page cannot be displayed" appears on my internet browser.
